BLACK BEAUTY is an all-time classic children's story. Good book with useful knowledge and it was available at no cost. She tells a child's story with straightforward cause and effect, no subtext wanted or needed for children. It really shouldn't work. She seemed to like it a lot. My father and uncle were both there in the early 1900's , so I found the historical perspective very interesting. The limericks range from the traditional There Once Was A Boy Named Josh to the nursery-rhyme inspired The First Piggy Went To The Store. His bibliography is quite good, although more academic - and deserves attention by the reader. I had one rieview up, but took it down because it did not flow right. Where are manga artists when you need them.
